Search can retrieve information. Generative AI can explain and synthesise it. Reconstruction is built around the different problem of deciding what the available evidence is sufficient to support.
AI can assist where useful, but it is not the authority for whether a claim is established. Evidence, provenance, contradiction, uncertainty and validation remain part of the structured case.
